In 2024, the technology company evaluated Conga’s Batch and Trigger (B/T) solution to aid in automating its document delivery but ultimately decided not to move forward.
The conversation reignited in late 2025 when the team contacted Conga about licensing for Composer API or Batch and Trigger functionality. During these discussions, a pain point emerged: team members voiced frustration over the labor-intensive order confirmation process.
The challenge
Although forms were generated only once a week, the workflow involved too many manual steps. After generating order forms via Conga Composer, users exported documents and manually emailed them to customers through Microsoft Outlook. The entire process took at least 10 minutes per form—and with plans to scale to 5–10 forms weekly, the inefficiency was unsustainable.
Beyond time loss, the manual process left room for errors, such as sending the wrong email or attaching an incorrect form. Tracking was also difficult since Outlook lacked integration with Salesforce, making audits cumbersome. The company needed a solution to automate sending order forms, reduce errors, and ensure forms were automatically attached to Salesforce records.
The solution
When they expressed interest in adding Composer licenses, CS Specialist Daniel Todorovich explained that their goals—automation, error reduction, and audit compliance—would require Batch and Trigger.
This opened the door for a discovery call and live demo. Daniel brought in key Conga stakeholders to showcase how Batch and Trigger could transform the company’s workflow.
The demo highlighted key benefits:
- Automating document sends to save up to 10 minutes per form
- Reducing manual steps and minimizing human error
- Automatically attaching emails to Salesforce records for audits
- Preparing the business for growth with scalable processes
Once the team saw the demo of Batch and Trigger, an attendee said, “To me, it seems like a no-brainer. Anytime you can save the front line some time, that’s a good thing.”
By the end of the call, they requested pricing on the spot. Shortly after, they confirmed their merge requirements and moved forward.
The impact
The win for the company is significant. Here’s what the team will experience:
- Time savings: Reduce order form processing from 10 minutes to 2 minutes
- Error reduction: Eliminate manual steps and mistakes
- Audit compliance: Automatically store records in Salesforce
- Scalability: Support increased order volumes without added strain
This success story underscores the power of partnership and solving real customer challenges that deliver measurable value and set the stage for continued growth.
