All roads lead to the Conga Customer Community where customers gain knowledge through self-service, learn from each other in the user groups, and receive technical support from Conga experts. Another major community perk includes the ability for customers to submit an idea or new feature request to help shape the future of Conga products.

Feature requests are a great way for customers to bring important product functionality to light that otherwise may not be on Conga’s roadmap. This is also an opportunity for customers to be a part of something bigger—developing important ideas for product enhancements and specific use cases.

The Conga Customer Community team recently sat down with our CPQ Product Management Leaders to discuss how well they’ve been listening to customer ideas and making their dreams a reality. We’re excited to celebrate these recently launched feature requests and here’s what we learned about Conga’s commitment to customer-driven ideas.

Solving customer challenges is our main priority

The product team received almost 300 CPQ feature request ideas—now that’s a lot of thinking power. Customers from a wide variety of industries and all shapes and sizes have unique use cases.

Suraj Baviskar, Sr. Product Manager, explains, “We truly value customer input and are listening to their requests, and while we can’t implement every idea we receive, we can review and consider it for future planning.”

The feature request portal is an important channel for the Conga product teams to understand what is important to customers right now and to better understand their immediate challenges. For example, we had multiple requests to adjust the Waterfall page within Conga CPQ which led to the product team implementing three customer-driven enhancements:

  • Show waterfall data for secondary charge lines
  • Allow the user to display custom VF Page
  • Allow the user to choose any price point

“Feature requests offer customers a chance to come up with creative ideas that Conga might not have thought of and opens our eyes to new priorities,” said Balu Sreekumar, Director of Conga Product Management.

Another example of an idea that was shipped that a lot of customers would benefit from and was recognized as a critical idea to implement was for the Conga CPQ: Need API to force reprice of cart on Conga Platform.

Here’s how it went: Customers were challenged with long quoting processes and at times, it took months to close a single deal. A quote may have an important price change due to a supply chain issue, economic hardship, or price fluctuations. As a result, the Administrator must update and change the original pricing on that quote because of variations in the code.

For example, not all customers experience the same challenge listed above, but many customers would benefit from a new API feature request to help reprice carts. With this new feature, the user can quickly reprice the quote with the click of a button, ensuring all codes are updated, current, and accurate.

“Not only can customers contribute by sharing new ideas, but they can also participate by reviewing existing ideas and providing valuable input through comments, such as highlighting their importance or sharing relevant use cases. Equally important is the ability to vote on ideas, as the more votes an idea receives, the higher its chances of being prioritized over others,” Suraj stated.

Conclusion

We hope this reinforces the significance of the Conga Customer Community feature request ideas portal and underscores the innovation and commitment to customer satisfaction and success for Conga customers. We deeply value these contributions and the impact they create.

To ensure we focus on what matters most, we recommend sharing ideas that can be implemented quickly and efficiently. Once submitted, take a moment to vote on each other's suggestions to highlight what resonates with the community. This collaborative approach not only prioritizes impactful solutions but also strengthens our shared commitment to progress.
